The plausibility of conceptual spaces as a model for categorization

In this essay, I contrast Peter Gärdenfors' theory of conceptual spaces with Michael Ramscar's research into the nature of category formation and categorization in humans. My analysis highlights the incompatibility of the approaches and points out directions of further inquiry.
